Upcoming Music Artist from the Township of Ivory Park: Bongani Msimango

Bongani Msimango is a passionate and hardworking musician from Ivory Park Extension 2 in Tembisa. He is dedicated to performing Arts as he is a poet as well and is always looking to execute his projects and spread very powerful messages in his music as well as poetry. He started gaining interest in poetry from a very young age, then turned into music during his early high school days. So far he has released 2 singles and is going to drop a last single before he releases his long awaited mix tape called 'Peace Of Mind'. He goes by the stage name 'G-Kay' ('son of lee-dia' being his poetry name) and you can find his music in all streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, YouTube, Amazon Music, etc. Most of people are familiar with his work around Tembisa and beyond that, even in Johannesburg areas and he aims to reach the whole of South Africa and the world. He has climbed a lot of stages which left smiles and hope on a lot of people's faces. He has also been nominated for some awards locally and around the province of Gauteng for his work in Music and Poetry.

At Trendsetters Youth Foundation (Art Centre) he is a Coordinator for the Tutoring Classes as well as being a Poetry teacher for Arts & Culture. He joined the Organization as a Grade 11 student at the time looking to study and get tutoring but eventually grew into the place and today he is a huge member of the Organization, making sure things run smoothly and efficiently.
